Enhancing Employee Training

Simulations supplement an employee's coursework with hands-on tools that allows them to put their training to practice. They help employees improve their skills and reduce the potential for costly mistakes, while exposing them to a wide range of project scenarios they may encounter in their jobs.

Double Masters simulations can be administered in two ways:

• Workshops – are available directly from Double Masters or through one of our education partners and include lectures as well as in-class simulation runs.
• Self-managed Sessions – allow corporations to make simulations directly available to their employees.

How It Works

Double Masters simulations are offered via the web and can be run whenever convenient for the employee or instructor. The process for conducting a simulation is simple and straightforward:

• Access credentials (Session ID and Access Code) are automatically generated for workshop or corporate education instructors when they first sponsor the session.
• The instructor establishes time constraints for the simulation.
• Employees create a user account and register for the session using their instructor’s access credentials.
• Employees run the associated simulation within the time constraints set by the instructor.

Assessing Performance

Reports are provided that make it easy for instructors to track their employees’ simulation run results.

Key information reported includes:

• Mail and documents read
• Schedule and budget data
• Complete list of decisions made
• Final Earned Value Management metrics

An instructor's guide explains these various reports and provides the rationale behind each decision presented to employees during the simulation along with suggested answers. There is no grade provided by the simulation; it's left up to the instructor to assess employee performance.
